Harvest are a Catalan-Dutch band, who came together as a result of a shared passion for music. Their individual and joint musical influences (mainly prog rock and indie rock) have resulted in an unconventional, unique and emotion-packed sound. The story of Harvest begins back in February 2008 when the three original members of the band, (Monique van der Kolk, Jordi Amela and Jordi Prats), first got together and within a few months, they had written enough songs to record their first 6 track demo, which would be the embryo of their first studio album, Underground Community. In November 2008, Roger Vilageliu and Alex Ojea finally came on board, so Harvest evolved from a writing and studio project to a fully-fledged band. With a demo out on the streets and a meticulously crafted live sound, they started performing their first live concerts in 2009, including a support slot supporting Marillion at the Sant Jordi Club in February 2009, and began work on recording the band’s debut album Underground Community, the band’s debut album. The band continued touring and building up a large following and even played the highly illustrious Prog Farm Festival in Holland. With their name and reputation spreading further afield, the band re-entered the studio to record their latest album Chasing Time, an album that marks a major leap forward in, not only their song writing and playing, but this time with a highly polished production. The album also features guest vocals from, ex- Pallas frontman and now solo artist, Alan Reed, and Marillion guitarist, Steve Rothery playing some beautiful slide guitar on the track, In Debris. Chasing Time was released to great critical acclaim in 2012, but shortly afterwards, the band’s bassist left the band for professional reasons, but was quickly replaced by Tony Munne and the band continued with live performances, including a stunning performance at this year’s Marillion weekend, where they were joined onstage by Steve Rothery and Alan Reed.
With the band now firing on all cylinders, Celebr8.2 in May 2013 saw their UK debut performance which blew the audience away.
