SARAH LOUISE EWING
Sarah has been fascinated with drawing and paintings from early childhood. At just three years of age, she presented her father with an accurate and fully 3D sketch of a pram. From that moment on, the die was cast. These days she is rarely found without a paintbrush in her hand.
Sarah’s work draws inspiration from her rural surroundings: the flora, fauna and wildlife which she sees every day. She feels a deep connection to the landscape, tradition and folkore – which provide us all with a sense of place.
Sarah has been working with Big Big Train since late 2014, creating artwork for EPs and album releases, as well as band logos and motifs. In 2017, her cover for the bands’ album Grimspound, was nominated for Album Cover of The Year at the Progressive Music Awards.
Sarah’s work is available in galleries throughout the United Kingdom.
Sarah is based in the beautiful county of Gloucestershire, deep in the Cotswolds. Her rural studio over looks Cam Peak and the rich countryside beyond.
